Winter Close Down!
With Autumn now here and winter on its way it is time to ensure that outdoor pools are correctly winterised for the cold months ahead.
Last year many of our customers were caught out by the extremely cold weather and we saw a hugh increase in damaged pools and associated plant due to frost damage to incorrectly winterised pools.
To prevent costly repair bills we recommend that outdoor pools are properly winterised by one of our experienced engineers or we are happy to attend site and double check that the pool has been properly winterised if our customers wish to carry out the wok themselves, please contact us for more details.
The winter period is also a good time to carry out renovation works, leak detection, liner replacements or any repairs that are required to ensure the pool is in top condition for the start of the next swimming season.
We offer reduced labour rates during the winter period for both indoor and outdoor pools and we are always happy to attend site and provide advice and quotations on repairs prior to work commencing.
Beware of Algae!
Algae is a real nuisance at this time of year and causes many pool owners a real headache, fortunately there are several easy steps that can be taken to ensure that algae and green pools are not a problem this season.
• The most important thing to remember is to keep up the regular pool maintenance. The recent spell of windy and showery weather has discouraged many people from using their pools and often this is when the pool service regime gets forgotten, a case of out of site out of mind!
• Chlorine and Ph levels should be maintained correctly and the pool filter should still be backwashed at least weekly even if the pool is not being used.
• A good quality long life algaecide such as Kleen Pool should be added to the water at the beginning of the season to help keep algae at bay.
• Phosphate levels should be checked and corrected if required. Phosphates are becoming a major problem in swimming pool water management and as algae's main source of food is phosphate it is easy to see why the levels should be monitored. Click here for more info.

We are busier than ever and if you have not done so already PLEASE BOOK NOW TO OPEN YOUR POOL for the summer to save any disappointment.
We have increased our work force again this year to help keep up with demand for pool builds, renovations and servicing.
There are many new products for the season and we have also introduced a more economic range of pool chemicals to help keep running costs down.
We also have special offers on pool covers for the entire season which will also help reduce heating costs on pools.
Please see our products page for more details and check it regularly throughout the season for more new products and special offers.
Looking ahead for 2011
Now that the New Year is here we are already looking ahead for the start of another busy swimming season.
Despite the current economic climate we are busier than ever and have taken on many new build and renovation projects for the coming season.
After all the extreme low temperatures that we experienced at the end of last year we highly recommend that outdoor pool owners think ahead and open the pools early this year so that any damaged pipes or structural damage can be repaired in plenty of time for the swimming season.
Pool Renovation Completed
We have recently been involved in a major refurbishment at the Leisure pool in Shaftesbury town in Dorset .
The indoor pool has now reopened after being closed for several months whilst major works were carried out including the installation of a new air handling system and heating system provided by ourselves.
The pool hall now benefits from a condensation free enviroment and air temperture heating as well as more efficient and more enviromentally friendly water heating.
Regular customers are now returning for their swimming sessions and are enjoying the benefits of the new improved facility.
